In 2019 the Regina Public School Board voted against a motion supporting the celebration of Pride, specifically flying the Pride flag at public schools across the city. In response to this action,  Evie Ruddy and I created this media artwork by drawing on sound bites from our Pride themed radio show for the program Imagine This Music! we produce, along with my kiddos, for 91.3 FM CJTR. In these recordings the children and I are discussing the significance of seeing the Pride flag flown every day at the school in our neighbourhood. Along with this audio of the kids and I, we incorporate headlines published after the school board's decision, along with still images and video recordings with the children playing and being at home and in our community. We are a Family was included as part of the 2020 Pride exhibition Queering the Creek: An Augmented Reality Exhibition.
