As part of the IMP Labs Community Hours and Workshops Program I was often asked by teachers to facilitate workshops for their students. As information about the success of the Scott Collegiate/ IMP Labs Hip Hop Project began to circulate among schools and teachers, I was often approached about creating new projects for schools that had specific relevance to their communities, concerns, celebrations. When I was approached by staff from Bert Fox, there was a need for more engagement by students in the curriculum focusing on Treaty Teachings. Thus, we focused our media and hip hop project on the Treaty Teachings, and created artworks for this curriculum.
